Lion Energy is an ASX-listed oil and gas exploration and production company with a long operating history in Indonesia.

The Company’s principal asset is the operated East Seram PSC, where Lion holds a 45% working interest in a highly prospective acreage position on Seram Island in eastern Indonesia. The PSC contains a substantial portfolio of oil and gas exploration opportunities across shallow-water and deeper fold-belt plays within a proven petroleum basin.

Lion’s immediate focus is the Bula Karang-1 exploration well in Bula Bay. The well targets a 12.4 million barrel P50 prospective resource and is being drilled from an onshore location to access an offshore target, combining high-resolution very-shallow-water seismic with cost-effective land-based drilling.

Beyond Bula Karang, Lion has identified significant follow-up potential across Bula Bay and a portfolio of larger exploration opportunities within the East Seram PSC, including Kobi, Waru, Tanah Baru and Wahai Deep, together with the potential extension of the Lofin gas accumulation into the PSC. We are also reviewing business development opportunities in Southeast Asia.

Lion’s strategy is focused on applying its extensive Indonesian operating, technical and commercial experience to discover and develop material oil and gas resources, with an emphasis on opportunities that can leverage existing skills, network, infrastructure and provide a pathway to early commercialisation.
